Red to Yellow Nested Chevron Glass Sculpture, 57cm, dimpled acrylic panels graduating red to yellow on an amber base, set against a plain white background.
Red to Yellow Nested Chevron Glass Sculpture - 57cm $7,96500
Description

Chevron panels nested one inside another and graduated red through orange into yellow, every face carrying a regular field of small dimples, standing on an amber acrylic slab. Red at the outside runs through orange into yellow at the centre, so the nesting and the colour run in the same direction. The amber acrylic base is included with it.

A Field of Dimples Across Every Face

Two materials in one object usually means one of them is the support, and here they are both part of what is looked at: glass to transmit and resin to hold. The dimpling is what separates this from a plain coloured panel. A flat face passes light as a single wash; a dimpled one breaks it into separate points, so the same colour arrives as a field of small bright marks rather than as an even sheet of tone. Glass and resin together give two different clarities in one object: the panels transmit and the base holds, and a regular field of small dimples across every face breaks the light into points wherever it lands. The faces are dimpled rather than flat, and every edge is polished so the panel ends read as bright lines.

A console in front of a window, or a sill where daylight comes from behind it. What is behind it should be light: of everything here it is the piece that wants a window more than a wall. Daylight through it is the whole point: the dimples turn a flat wash into a field of separate points. The chevron reads from across a room. The dimpling is a close-range surprise that changes what the piece is.

Leaving the Dimpling Off, and Delivery

Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. The colour run can be reversed, the dimple field can be left off, and the panel count can change. Leave the dimpling off and the panels become plain coloured glass, which is a different object with the same outline. One crate, packed upright with each panel separated. Two people. Glass at this span should not be carried by one. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Chevron panels graded from red to yellow on an amber base lead to our acrylic sculptures; the dimpled, nested panels belong with our resin sculptures, and it suits the generous rooms shown in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
