This shelving unit is eighteen open boxes, arranged as six bays of three and set out along a wall. The acrylic is graded across the whole piece: strong red at one end, warming through to amber at the other, so no two bays are quite the same colour and the run carries one continuous journey instead of a grid of coloured panels. Every box is open front and back.
Eighteen boxes mean a great many panels, and each one has to come from the right place in the graded stock. The horizontal shelves are the problem the vertical divisions are not: a shelf crosses several bays and therefore several stages of the grade at once, so it has to be cut from a length of stock that grades at the same rate as the piece it is joining. Cut a shelf from the wrong part of the sheet and it disagrees with the verticals it meets, which shows as a visible seam across the whole unit. Because every box is open front and back, each panel is read against the colour of the ones behind it, and the depth of colour compounds through the piece. Every unit grades differently.
Long and of middling height, this is a wall piece: a room divider that does not close a room, a run along the back of a study, or the long wall of an office where storage should not read as storage. The grade is the reason to keep the wall behind it plain. Open boxes mean whatever goes in them is seen through coloured material from every side, so books and boxes read as blocks of tone rather than as their own colours, which is worth planning for. Nothing should crowd either end, or the sweep loses its start and finish.
Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. Bay count and box proportion can both be changed, and the unit is offered in other lengths and heights. The grade can be reversed, run vertically, or drawn between two other colours from the same stock, and a single flat colour is available. Backs can be closed where the contents should not be seen through. Delivery is flat and in sequence: the panels are numbered as they are cut and bonded on arrival in that order, because the grade only stays continuous if the panels go back where they came from. Two people are wanted for the assembly, and a unit this size is not a quick job. The panels are a one-person carry. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Eighteen boxes carrying one colour journey belong with our acrylic sculptures; six bays graded red to amber lead to our geometric sculptures, and storage that does not read as storage joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
