Red Lens Top Acrylic Blade Console Table, 150cm, with gloss red lens-shaped top on six frosted acrylic blades braced by metal rods, shown on a plain white background.
Red Lens Top Acrylic Blade Console Table - 150cm $9,04500
Description

This console table carries a gloss red top drawn to a point at each end and thickest through the middle, so the profile reads as a lens seen edge on. It stands on six frosted acrylic blades set in two groups of three, and polished metal rods pass through the blades at two heights to brace them against one another.

Six Frosted Blades Cross-Braced in Two Ranks

The blades are the structure and they are also the pattern: three to each end, standing parallel and spaced a blade's width apart, so from the front the base reads as a grid and from the end as a single upright. The acrylic is frosted rather than clear, which stops the blades disappearing and gives the base a pale mass against the red above it. The rods are polished and pass right through, showing their ends on the outer faces, and they sit at two heights rather than one so the grid has a horizontal rhythm to match the vertical.

Shallow from front to back, this is a hall console, a landing piece or a table for the wall behind a sofa, and its slim depth keeps it clear of a walking line. The pointed ends mean it does not want to be pushed into a corner where one of them would be lost. Red at this saturation is a statement, so it sits best against plain plaster or a pale timber wall, and the frosted base keeps the whole thing from looking heavy in a narrow space. Indoor use only.

Blade Count, Top Colour & Rod Finish

Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. Three specifications change the piece and none can be altered afterwards. Blade count is set at order: six as here reads as a grid, four reads as a frame, and eight makes the base almost a screen, which suits a longer top. The top is offered in this gloss red, in black, in white and in the studio tints, and a matt lacquer is available where the reflection of a hall light is unwelcome. Rods are polished stainless as standard, with blackened steel and brushed brass offered, and the rod finish is the detail that decides whether the base reads warm or cool. Length is made to order on the same lens plan. It arrives with the top separate from the blade assembly and goes together with the rods drawn through on site, which takes two people and about twenty minutes; the blades are seated fully home before the top is lowered on. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A console standing on frosted blades joins our art furniture; it is listed too among our indoor sculptures, and its polished rods connect it to our metal sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
