Red & Amber Stacked Blocks Resin Sculpture - 150cm
Red & Amber Stacked Blocks Resin Sculpture - 150cm $3,84700
Description

Cut blocks stacked one on the next with the middle one tilted across the stack, red above and amber beneath, carried on a plinth of stone and steel that takes the group to standing height. Red at the top and amber beneath it, with cream showing where the two run together at the join. A plinth of marble and stainless steel is included.

One Block Tilted Out of Line

Tilting the middle block out of the stack is what keeps the column from being a pile. The top and bottom blocks sit square, and the middle one leans across between them, so the colour meets its neighbour once at an angle and once square, and the stack reads as balanced rather than built. Stacking cut blocks in a clear body means each one is read through the one in front, so the colour deepens with every block the eye passes through. Polished on every face, and the plinth honed rather than polished so the two do not compete.

This is floor work as well: it belongs at the end of a run or in a corner, not on furniture. A dark wall at its back suits the red better than a pale one does, and the red is what should carry. Light from one side gives the stack its steps; light from in front makes it one block. It reads as a single red mass from the doorway and separates into blocks as you cross the room.

Adding Blocks, and Two Crates

In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The block count can be changed, the tilt of the middle block can be opened or closed, and the plinth can be had in marble alone without the steel. Add blocks and the plinth is cut to suit, because the two together have to come to a height a person can stand beside. It arrives in two crates and goes together on site, the casting set down onto the plinth last. Three people for the plinth alone. Two can manage the casting. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Tinted blocks stacked over stone and steel join our stainless steel sculptures; the red and amber stack sits within our resin sculptures, and more to close the far end of a hall waits in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
