Description

A ball of clear red acrylic, polished to a glassy shine, held up on a slim gold-toned steel pin that runs into its underside. The pin is part of the piece and is made to be set into a drilled base or a soft surface, which is not supplied, so the ball seems to float above it.

A Red Ball Held on a Single Pin

Clear red acrylic gives the ball a glow that a painted surface could not, deep at the edges and bright where it faces the light, and the pin is kept slender and gold so it reads as a fine stroke beneath the colour. The ball is polished all over, so it catches highlights from every side, and the pin meets it cleanly, with nothing visible at the join. Planted in numbers, the balls read as a field of colour; alone, one makes a small, bright exclamation.

At 17cm it is a small, bright piece, set into a planter, a drilled block on a shelf or a soft bed of moss in a display, and several can be planted together to make a field. A plain ground behind it shows the red at its clearest, and a window or a lamp nearby makes the red ball glow warmly.

The Ball, the Pin and Delivery

As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. Other colours of ball are made, clear, amber, blue or green, and the pin can be finished in silver or cut to another length. Balls of a greater diameter can be made to order for a bolder planting, and the gold finish brushed or polished. It is sold as a single ball, so order the number a field needs. Each ball is boxed in foam with its pin, and it is small enough to unpack in one hand. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
