Purple & Green Frosted Bowl with Gold Stem Resin Sculpture - 45cm
Purple & Green Frosted Bowl with Gold Stem Resin Sculpture - 45cm $2,09200
Description

A rounded bowl form in frosted resin, deep purple through its body with a soft band of grey-green below the rim, closed at the top and crowned by a slender gold stem that curves up and opens like a flower's throat. It stands on a clear acrylic disc, which comes with it and lifts the bowl just clear of the surface.

A Purple Bowl Crowned With a Gold Stem

The bowl is the heavy half of the idea, full and round and frosted to a soft matt glow, and the stem is the light half: a single gold line that rises, bends and opens at its tip like a trumpet flower. The colour is graded through the resin, a deep violet in the body lifting to a cool green just below the rim, so the top of the form seems lit. The clear disc beneath is almost invisible, and the bowl appears to rest on glass. The stem rises straight from the top of the bowl, so the two read as one piece.

At 45cm it sits comfortably on a broad shelf or a sideboard, and it groups well with other vessels on a long surface. A window behind it makes the frosted purple glow, and a lamp beside it brings up the gold. Against a pale wall the curve of the stem reads clearly, and in a quiet corner a single spot lamp makes the gold stand out.

The Bowl, the Stem and Delivery

Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. Other gradings are made, blue to green or amber to red, and the stem can be given a silver or bronze finish, curled the other way or drawn longer. The bowl can also be frosted more lightly so that more of the colour shows through. It travels in a padded carton with the stem wrapped separately and the disc packed beneath, and a single person can unpack it with ease. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A frosted bowl crowned with a gold stem belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures; deep purple resin banded with green leads to our resin sculptures, and the acrylic disc beneath it joins our acrylic sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
