The figure is a silhouette rather than a body: a standing outline with shoulders, a squared head, one arm indicated as a notch and a long slot cut up between the legs, all in a single thin flat plate. The colour is a translucent rose, deeper where the plate turns and pale across the open faces. The whole thing stands in a bar of black marble that holds it upright.
A flat plate has three surfaces and the one that matters is the edge. The translucent rose seen end on is the densest colour on the piece and it runs right round the outline, so the edge is what draws the figure: every change of direction along it is a change in the brightness of that line, and a wobble in the profile shows as a wobble in colour. It is therefore cut and dressed square to the faces along its whole run, including inside the slot between the legs, where a rounded edge would make the gap look filled in. The faces are then polished flat, which is harder on a thin plate than on a mass because there is nothing to hold while the work is done.
Seen face on this is a bold flat shape; seen edge on it almost vanishes, and that pair of readings is the point. So give it a position with a clear approach from the front and let people walk past it: a hall, a landing, the end of a run of furniture. Backlighting is the best of it - a window behind or a lamp low behind the marble fills the whole plate and the rose goes luminous. Against a dark wall the colour reads deepest. For its size the marble bar is dense, so stand it on something solid.
From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. The colour runs from this rose to a deeper red, an amber, a smoke or a clear body with no tint at all, and a frosted plate is offered where the translucency is too bright. Plate thickness can be doubled for a piece with more presence, and the outline itself is open: a seated figure, a pair of figures on one bar, or a longer and narrower proportion are all made. A white marble bar and a steel one are both made in place of this black stone. Any height is cut to order. Plate and bar travel apart in one flat crate; the plate slots into the bar by hand and one person can manage both. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A figure cut as a single flat plate belongs with our abstract sculptures; a silhouette that vanishes edge on leads to our contemporary and modern sculptures, and translucent rose resin joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
