It is a shallow round dish in pink-tinted acrylic standing on a plain cylindrical drum, the two worked from the same material so the join reads as a single change of section rather than as two parts brought together. The pink runs deepest in the wall of the dish and in a band at the foot, and the solid drum between them glows a paler rose.
The dish and the drum are worked from the same material and the join between them is taken back until the two read as one turned form. Acrylic was chosen over resin because it stays water-clear through a section this deep, and since the pink is part of the acrylic itself, no rim or edge can wear pale however often the bowl is handled and filled. The inside of the bowl is polished to the same standard as the outside, because a dished top is looked into more often than at.
At 53cm this stands high enough to serve a seated arm without anyone reaching over for it, which puts it next to an armchair, at a sofa end or beside a bed. The dished top means a tray or a bowl sits in it, and the pink reads strongest with light behind it rather than straight onto it.
Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. Most of it is the dished bowl. Three points are open. The tint is open, the bowl can be made deeper or brought almost flat, and the drum can be supplied at another height. You give the bowl diameter and the overall height. The depth of the pink in the bowl is common to a single order and particular to it. Packing keeps the bowl rim and the drum foot off the crate walls, and it is a two-person carry. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A pink acrylic dish raised on a pale rose drum sits with our acrylic sculptures; the turned outline of this side table also suits our art furniture and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
