A standing acrylic sculpture with the rough profile of a crystal: a column with a broad front, a narrow shoulder falling away down one side and a peaked crown of large faces on top. One crisp upright edge runs down the middle of the front from the crown to the foot. The film returns hot magenta, rose and orange through the body, gold and acid yellow across the crown and down its right-hand slope, and there are narrow violet flashes where two planes meet. The front is the piece: it is wide enough to read as a field of colour rather than as a facet.
A broad face is the hardest thing on a piece like this to bring off. Any unevenness in the film has nowhere to hide on a face this size: a small facet breaks the light up and forgives a variation, while a wide one shows a band or a bloom across its whole width as a change of colour rather than a change of surface. So the broad front is worked flat to a tolerance the minor faces are not held to, and the one upright edge down its middle is kept crisp and true from the crown to the foot, since a line that wandered would divide the field of colour unevenly. The crown is cut to catch gold above it, and each piece is cut by hand, so no two carry the same flash pattern.
At 115cm this stands to the waist of an adult: its place is the floor, in a hall or a generous room, and never a table top. It wants to be met head-on and from some distance, because the broad front is the whole composition and reads as a field only when all of it is in view at once: at the end of a corridor, on a broad landing, beside a full-height window or across a long room. Set it where daylight crosses the front rather than striking it square, since a raking light keeps the rose and the gold separate and a flat frontal light merges them into one orange.
Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The profile, the scale and the film are all settled with each commission, which is how a version worked to a narrower upright comes from this design as readily as this one. The film is settled at order, this rose-and-gold or a pastel, and like every dichroic film it shifts: set against a dark wall, the same block turns cool, to blue, cyan and violet. The broad front can also be left unfilmed and simply polished, which gives a clear window through the body with the colour only at the edges. It is moved upright, taken by the broad faces low down and never by the crown. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A crystal profile, its broad rose front under a peaked gold crown, leads on to our geometric sculptures, our acrylic sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
