Pink & Blue Windblown Figure Resin Sculpture, 64cm, frosted abstract form with flared base on black marble block, plain white background.
Pink & Blue Windblown Figure Resin Sculpture - 64cm $1,68700
Description

A standing figure in frosted resin, the skirt thrown back and the upper body opening into a flare, on a stone block cut close to the foot it carries. A pale pink runs through the upper body and gives way to teal at the hem, on a body left matt where the rest of this design is glossed. A black marble block is supplied.

Colour Where the Body Is Thinnest

The flare on this one is drawn close in to the body, which is why it will go on a desk where the rest of the family will not. Of every colourway this design is made in, this is the only one that is not polished. A matt surface holds light where it lands instead of returning it, so the form is read by its shape alone with no highlight running along the edges to help. A frosted material gives back a soft even tone wherever you look at it, which is why the pink and the teal meet without a visible boundary anywhere between them. Matt across the whole object, flare included, with no passage anywhere brought up to a shine.

It suits a desk, a bedside table or a shelf, since the flare stays within its own footprint. A dark wall behind it. A frosted pale body against a pale ground has almost no edge to show. A lamp close to it is worth avoiding: a matt surface takes a hot source badly and goes chalky where a polished one would sparkle. From across a room it is a pale silhouette; the pink and the teal are both close-range facts on a body that returns so little light.

Running the Blue the Other Way, and Delivery

Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The surface can be polished instead of frosted, the flare can be opened, and pale stone can be supplied under it. Take the frost off and the piece gains an edge it does not currently have, because a polished body draws a bright line along every turn. The same figure is also cast in clear blue on a gold block, and that version is sold as a piece of its own. One crate, stone and figure together, standing when unpacked. One person, lifting at the stone. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Other frosted figures of this height continue in our indoor sculptures, and more matt, windswept work appears in our contemporary and modern sculptures and our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
