Description

The frame of this cast resin and upholstered armchair is a chunky tube in warm orange translucent resin, made as two hoops: each one runs from the floor up over an arm and down to the floor again, with a low rail between them at the back and a second under the seat. A cream upholstered pad sits down inside the two hoops.

Two Hoops Carrying an Arm Apiece

Each hoop is cast in one run, floor to arm to floor, and no joint shows anywhere along it. The orange is in the material, so it deepens through the thickest part of the tube and opens to a clear amber where the section narrows at the arm. The two rails meet the hoops without a visible fixing anywhere along them, and the join is worked back until it does not read. The pad is built to the finished frame and drops in from above, so it can be recovered later without the frame going anywhere.

It is a low easy chair, not one for dining, and a bedroom corner, a dressing room, a study or a wide landing all suit it. The hoops bear on the floor along their whole curve, so it sits solidly on a soft floor and needs no glides or felts under it, and it can be pushed about without lifting.

The Seat, the Orange, and Where the Hoops Bear

Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. Most of it is the tube frame. Three of its features are open. The orange can be replaced with another tint or dropped for a colourless frame, the pad can be covered in a material you supply, and the arm height can be adjusted. Together the seat height and the overall width come from you. Every piece in a single order is worked so the depth of the orange in the tube agrees. Allow four people to move it. The arm hoops are part of the tube frame and no joint shows where they meet the legs, so the seat pad is the only thing that travels separately, and it drops into the frame on arrival. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
