Thirteen slender figures stand together along one long metal bar, each of frosted amber resin drawn out to a point at the foot and held in two rings at the top of its own slim dark post. Some stand upright and others bow their heads forward, and the posts rise to different heights, so the heads never settle into a single line. The amber holds from the crowns down to the pointed feet, deepening along the edges of each figure. The metal belongs to the sculpture rather than being a stand supplied under it: the bar the posts are set into is the foot.
A crowd is a distribution before it is a set of individuals, and the arrangement is what makes thirteen castings read as one group. The figures share one long, tapering silhouette and differ in the one place a person looks first, the set of the head: some held upright, some bowed forward at the neck. The posts carry them at different heights and stand at staggered depths along the bar, so from most angles the heads never line up into a rank and a few figures always stand partly in front of others. Frosted, the amber takes the light softly and shows each outline as a darker edge.
A long shelf, a sideboard or a console takes it, and it should be seen along its length rather than square on, which is when the figures separate. Light from behind is the strongest thing that can be done with it, because the amber carries it through and the posts stay dark. A pale wall behind serves it better than a dark one. Walked past, the figures overlap and part again, so the group holds together as a crowd instead of as one element repeated.
Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. The figures can be cast in other counts, the amber graded from the feet up, and the bar given a brass-toned finish in place of the blackened metal, which warms the whole arrangement considerably. The bar is cut to any length and the figure count is set to the run rather than fixed at thirteen, and the count changes the piece more than the length of the bar does. It travels in one long crate with the figures individually nested, and the bar is carried flat and never by its posts. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
The bar and its posts are metal sculpture, the amber uprights are resin sculpture, and a group meant to be walked along belongs in indoor sculpture.

Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
