The block is folded once through its height so that two planes meet at an angle near the middle. Amber through the whole block, with the crazing reading orange where the lines run deepest. The crazing runs in courses like brickwork, each line broken where it meets the next. Nothing is sent with it; the block is cut level at the foot.
Folding the block is what keeps the crazing from reading as wallpaper: the lines run one way on the first plane and another on the second, and the angle between them gives the eye somewhere to stop. A flat block with the same surface on it would be a pattern rather than an object. Crazing a tinted body puts the colour into the lines themselves, and the faces between them are left almost empty, which is what makes a solid block read as broken open. Polished over both planes with the crazing left as worked.
A cabinet top suits it, or a wide desk, close enough for the lines to be followed. A pale ground behind it: amber on a dark wall reads as a hole rather than a mass. Backlight runs along every line at once; front light returns one flat amber. The folded shape carries at a distance and the crazing is a hand's-distance fact.
From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. Say the word and the crazing is worked finer, the amber is exchanged, or the block is folded at another angle. The angle the block is folded to is specified at the order, since the whole piece is arranged around it. The angle of the fold is specified at the order. A small crate, and it is placed as it comes out. Two people for the lift; it is heavier than it looks. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
An amber block crazed into courses like brickwork stands in our indoor sculptures; its single fold between two planes belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and colour held in the crazing itself joins it to our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
