Orange & Green Crackled Figure Resin Sculpture - 85cm, a tall draped figure with amber-to-green crackled finish on a black marble base, shown against a plain white background.
Orange & Green Crackled Figure Resin Sculpture - 85cm $2,36200
Description

A tall, slender figure in cast resin, wrapped from crown to hem in drapery. Long folds run to a crown thrown back above them, with the whole surface broken into fine cracks. Amber at the crown clearing to green at the hem, with the crackled surface breaking both. The black marble block travels with it.

A Warmer Colour the Crackling Allows

Being read at rather than through is what lets this one carry a warmer colour without going heavy, since none of the amber has to be looked through to find the fold behind it. It also means the cracks themselves carry a little of the tint, so the surface is never quite the same tone twice across any one fold. A crackled body is read at rather than through, so the folds here are found by their edges where the polished one gives them a shadow. Crackled over the whole surface, with nothing polished anywhere on it.

It wants a console or a wide sideboard with room to be walked past. Something dark behind it, since amber on a pale ground loses its outline at the top. Side light is what the crackling wants; flat light returns one even amber and the surface disappears. From the door it is a single warm shape, and the crackling arrives within arm's reach.

A Polished Version, and One Tall Crate

Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. On request the green is carried higher, another tone is run through, or the surface is polished instead. Polish it instead and the folds are redrawn deeper, because a smooth body needs a shadow where a crackled one has an edge. Crated upright in one, the block beneath the figure. Two people, hands at the block and the waist, and the crown left alone. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A crackled skin in amber and green sets this figure apart among our resin sculptures, its upright, drawn line belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and further figures to greet visitors are in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
