An acrylic sculpture resting on its long side rather than standing, cut into something like twenty-five planes: a broad crown of a few large faces on top, meeting the sides along one long edge that runs the length of it. Because it reclines, the division of colour is horizontal: the faces of the crown return blue and violet, with a magenta facet at one end, and every plane below that edge returns pale gold and cream, the change happening exactly on the line. Seen from above, the crown's blue and violet carry the piece; seen level, the warm sides take it over.
A reclining block is harder to cut than an upright one and the reason is its long edge. On a standing form the faces can each be worked independently; here the crown and the sides have to meet along one line that runs the whole length of the piece, and that line has to be straight, because an edge that wanders is visible from any angle and cannot be corrected once the neighbouring planes are polished. It also decides the colour, since the colour changes on that line, so a wandering line means a wandering boundary between the cool planes and the warm ones. The bearing faces underneath are worked flat together rather than each on its own, so the block sits down solidly without needing anything under it.
Long and low, this is a floor or plinth piece rather than a shelf one, and it asks to be walked past rather than faced: the colour changes along its length as the angle changes, which is a thing you notice while moving. A long sideboard, a broad plinth or the floor of a bay window all suit it. It is happy under a low light source, because a lamp at table height rakes along the crown and lifts the cool colours out of it. On a dark top the warm sides read strongly; on glass they disappear.
Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. The coating is chosen at order and decides the whole object: this cool-over-warm division, a single shift, a two-colour set, or an uncoated block reading as clear glass. Each cut is drawn for its own piece, which is how a longer flatter block or a steeper one with its long edge off-centre come from the same design, and the body itself can take a tint under the coating. It is moved lying as it stands, on its bearing faces with hands underneath, since taking the weight on a polished plane is how a coated face gets marked. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Cool across its crown and warm along its sides, this reclining solid of flat faces belongs to our geometric sculptures, our acrylic sculptures and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
