The rabbit in this resin sculpture sits up on its hind legs with its forepaws in and its ears raised, a smooth rounded form with no fur cut into it. Over that runs an iridescent plating, and at this size the colour arrives in broad bands rather than a scatter: one sweep of amber across the chest, a violet over the shoulder, a green down the haunch. From a few paces it reads as one shifting colour rather than several.
The same plating behaves differently on a bigger object and that is the whole of what is different here. On a small piece the bands are narrow and the eye mixes them, so the surface reads as an iridescence; widen the form and each band gets room enough to be seen as a colour in its own right, which means their placement stops being incidental and has to be decided. The transitions are set to fall on the fullest parts of the form, where a curve is turning away and a change of colour looks like light rather than a join. The bands are also why a big piece cannot be plated to the recipe a small one takes: the same run of colour spread over twice the area arrives as different bands entirely.
At 20cm this is a shelf, mantel and hall-table piece rather than a desk one, and it holds a position on its own. Give it a plain surface and a plain wall: the bands are strong enough that a patterned ground fights them. Daylight is what it wants, and a north window is better than a warm lamp, which pulls everything towards amber. It also reads well behind glass, in a cabinet, where the colour changes as you cross the room.
Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. The plating comes in this rainbow, a single amber, a rose gold and a steel grey, and the same rabbit is made plain and clear with no plating at all. Any size can be cut to order. The ears can be set closer together or laid back along the spine. Where two or more are ordered they are plated in one run so the bands agree. Transit is a sleeved box and there is nothing to fit; the plated surface is the outer surface, so keep the wrapping until it is in position. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A rabbit banded in amber, violet and green belongs with our rabbit and hare statues; colour that moves as you pass leads to our pop art sculptures, and an optical plating on resin joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
