Description

A tower of many flat, iridescent acrylic bands looped one above another round a frame of upright struts and turned a little at each level, so that together they twist upward in an open spiral. There are gaps between the bands, so the tower is as much air as material. The bands are mostly a pale aqua that turns green and gold at their edges and pink towards the foot, where they flare out widest, while a broad orange band arcs over the crown and runs down one side, with a yellow arc and two thin hoops inside it.

A Spiral Tower of Iridescent Bands

The tower is built from repetition: one simple band, repeated and turned, until the turning becomes a twist and the twist becomes a form. The iridescent film makes every band a different colour at every angle, so the tower never looks the same twice and seems to shimmer as you pass. Because the bands are separated by air, the spiral is open and the room shows through it, and the strongest colour is saved for the top of the tower, which draws the eye up through the whole twist.

At 245cm it needs a large space with height above it: an atrium, a lobby, a double-height hall or a gallery. Put it where people walk past it, since the colour changes with every step, and where daylight or a strong light can reach it. It suits a contemporary interior with plain walls and floors, which let the colour take over.

Height, Twist and Delivery

The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. It can be made to another height, with more or fewer bands and a tighter or looser twist, and the film can be weighted towards warm or cool colours. A tighter twist makes the spiral read more solid; a looser one lets more of the room through. The struts can be filmed to match the bands or left plain, and the orange over the crown can be carried further down the tower or left out. It is raised into position by its upright struts and never by a band. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
