Multi-Colour Iconify Masked Resin Bust - 40cm with blue jacket, yellow eye-slit mask, and red spiked brim, shown on a plain white background.
Multi-Colour Iconify Masked Resin Bust - 40cm $1,75400
Description

This is a bust cut off square across the chest, and almost all of it is clothing. A blue jacket comes up to the throat with shallow marks worked into it and a black band running round the hem. Above that the chin and jaw are left bare and pale, and everything above the mouth is covered by a yellow mask with two narrow eye slits and no eyes behind them. A red brim sits over the mask carrying a row of black spikes. Nothing about the face is available to be read, which is the whole of the design.

Four Colours That Meet Without Blending

Four flat colours meeting on one object is a harder finish than any gradient. Each has to stop exactly where the next begins, with no bleed and no lip, and the boundaries here are all on curves: the mask against the jaw, the brim against the mask, the hem against the jacket. The mask is the exacting one because it crosses the face at an angle and the eye is very good at seeing a line that wanders on a symmetrical surface. The spikes are the other slow passage. They are separate pieces standing clear of the brim, so each is set individually and then sighted along the row from the front, because one out of line is the only thing anybody will look at afterwards.

At 40cm this sits at eye level on a shelf, a console or a cabinet top rather than on the floor, and it wants to be met from the front: the composition closes from any other angle and the mask stops working. Give it a plain background. Against a busy shelf the four colours have to compete with everything behind them and they lose. It does well beside books, where the flat blue reads as a block, and it does badly in a dim corner, where the yellow goes green.

The Four Colours, the Spikes and Delivery

Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. Colour is settled at order: this red, yellow, blue and black set, a single colour throughout, or a metallic finish over the whole bust. The spikes can be left off the brim for a quieter object and the mask can be made in a contrasting material. Scale is open in both directions, from a desk piece to something well above head height. It arrives in one fitted crate with the spikes packed separately and pressed home on site; take the weight under the chest and never by the brim. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A bust masked from brow to nose belongs with our Iconify sculptures; flat colours that meet without blending lead to our contemporary and modern sculptures, and four strong colours in cast resin join our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
