Multi-Colour Graded Grazing Deer Resin Sculpture - 61cm, head lowered as if feeding, amber-to-blue gradient finish, shown on a plain white background.
Multi-Colour Graded Grazing Deer Resin Sculpture - 61cm $3,24000
Description

The deer in this resin sculpture stands with its head carried right down to the ground as though feeding, so the neck makes a long diagonal from the shoulder to the muzzle. Over that shape runs an iridescent grade of colour: deep amber at the nose, gold and green through the neck and barrel, and a clear blue at the hind legs and the tail. Because the head is down, the warm end of the grade sits at the bottom of the piece and the cool end at the top.

A Graded Colour That Runs Muzzle to Tail

A grade that runs the length of an animal has to be planned against the pose, not against the animal. On a standing deer the amber end is at head height; on this one the head is at the floor, so the same grade reads upside down and the transition has to be moved along the body to keep the warm mass where the eye wants it. That is decided with the piece standing, not on a bench. The finish is iridescent, so each colour shifts a little as you walk round the deer, and the body is polished until the amber, the gold and the blue all hold a highlight. Where two colours meet there is no line, and getting no line is the whole difficulty.

This one is read along its length and from the side, so it wants a run of clear surface or a patch of floor rather than a niche. At 61cm it works on a low table, a hearth or the floor beside a chair, where the lowered head is at the right level to be looked into. Daylight is what this finish wants; a warm lamp pulls the whole animal towards amber and takes the blue out of it. Set it against a pale wall, where the colour reads at full strength.

Where the Grade Falls, and Delivery

As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. Where the grade falls is set at order, and it can be reversed so the cool end is at the head, held to a single colour, or replaced by a plain clear body. Other grades are made in rose to gold, in green to blue, and in a steel grey. The same design is made standing with the head up, and stags with antlers are made to match at several scales. Each deer can be made at another scale, and a group ordered together is finished side by side so the grades agree. It travels in a fitted crate with the head packed clear of the box wall and needs no assembly; one person can place it, lifting under the barrel. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A deer grazing in a grade of colour belongs with our deer statues; a neck drawn down in one long diagonal leads to our animal sculptures, and amber running into blue joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
