Multi-Colour Graded Antlered Stag Resin Sculpture - 98cm
Multi-Colour Graded Antlered Stag Resin Sculpture - 98cm $3,64500
Description

A stag in graded resin, this sculpture stands square with its head up and a full rack of branching antlers rising above it. The iridescent grade holds its deepest amber through the antlers and the whole head, warms through the neck and shoulder, clears across the barrel and falls away to blue at the hind legs and the tail. The antlers are the widest part of the piece and they carry the strongest colour, so the eye is taken to the top of the animal first.

A Grade Carried Up Into the Antlers

Antlers are the hard part of a graded animal. They branch, they are thin, and every tine has two faces and a tip, so colour that reads evenly across a flank can look heavy in a fork and weak at a point unless its depth is judged tine by tine. The amber end of the grade is therefore carried up into the rack on purpose rather than left where the body's grade would put it. The test is the join with the head: rack and head have to agree there, or the antlers look as though they came from another animal, and a rack that does not agree is not used.

A stag with a rack this wide needs clearance above and to both sides, so an open floor, the turn of a stair or the middle of a large room suits it better than a corner. At this height the antlers are at standing eye level, which is where they should be. Daylight or a cool lamp keeps both ends of the grade honest; a warm bulb takes the blue out. Against a pale wall the whole grade reads at once; against a dark one only the amber front carries and the hindquarters vanish.

Antlers, Grade Direction and Handling on Site

Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. The spread of the antlers and their tine count are chosen with the order, and a hind can be cast without them. The grade can be turned round, kept to one tint, or made in another pair of colours, and an uncoloured clear stag is made too. Grazing and lying poses can be made to match at this scale, and any height is cut to order. Animals ordered together are matched to one another before they leave the studio. One crate holds the body with the antlers packed clear of it, and the rack seats by hand. Two people set the body down; one carries the antlers along their length. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A stag carrying its colour up into its antlers belongs with our deer statues; a full branching rack leads to our animal sculptures, and a grade from amber to blue joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
