Giant Sculptures Multi-Colour Faceted Monolith Acrylic Sculpture (222cm), an upright gem-cut form with amber, red, green, and violet iridescent facets on a plain white background.
Multi-Colour Faceted Monolith Acrylic Sculpture - 222cm $10,42000
Description

A single upright mass cut into flat planes that meet at sharp edges, broader at the shoulder than at the foot. An iridescent film covers every face, so no face has one colour: amber and gold glow through the body, a deep red runs down one shoulder, green and violet catch in the narrow facets above, and a plane that is gold from one step turns another colour from the next. Round the sides and the foot it clears to almost colourless. It stands on its own base of facets.

A Standing Stone That Changes Colour Face by Face

Iridescent film shows a different colour at every angle, and a flat plane gives it one angle at a time. That is the reason for the facets: each plane is a separate window on the film, so the monolith breaks into a patchwork of colours rather than a single sheen. The planes are cut to different sizes deliberately, since equal facets would make the colour change evenly and the effect would read as pattern. At this size a person looks up into it, and the planes near the top catch the light of the room in colours the planes near the floor do not.

At 222cm a piece this tall belongs in a double-height hall, an atrium or a reception with a ceiling well above it and floor to walk round it. Keep the wall behind it plain and dark, since every colour it gives comes from the light around it. Spotlights from two directions keep the colours shifting; a single flat wash of light stills them. From across a large space it reads as one bright stone, and the facets resolve as you approach.

The Facets, the Film and a Lifting Plan

Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. Three points are open at the order. The facets can be cut finer or broader, the film can be picked for warmer or cooler colours, and the silhouette can be drawn slimmer at the shoulder. A finer cut gives more changes of colour over the same height and a quieter surface overall. A piece of this size needs a lifting plan agreed with the site before it arrives, and it is raised by its broad faces near the foot, never by the shoulder. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Where a form is pure planes and colour it sits with abstract sculpture; the material ties it to our acrylic sculpture, and the cut faces to geometric sculpture.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
