The Monumental Walking Elephant Bronze Sculpture stands 280cm tall and weighs a commanding 1,000kg, presenting a life-size elephant mid-stride with trunk lowered, ears fanned, and every fold of skin rendered with uncommon anatomical precision.
This sculpture is produced using the lost-wax casting process, a technique that preserves the finest surface detail from the original model through to the finished bronze. The result across this piece is exceptional: deeply textured wrinkled skin covers the entire body, each crease and ridge faithfully translated into metal. The toenails on all four feet, the branching vein detail across the large fan-shaped ears, and the scale of the musculature beneath all speak to the craft invested at every stage. A rich dark brown patina has been applied by hand, drawing out the depth of the surface texture, while the elongated tusks are finished separately in a warm ivory and gold tone that provides a striking chromatic contrast against the darker body.
At 280cm, this is a piece conceived for monumental settings. Outdoors, it commands courtyards, estate entrances, hotel forecourts, safari lodges, and wide landscaped gardens with equally composed authority. Indoors, it suits double-height entrance halls, atria, or any architectural space with the volume to receive it. The dark brown and gold palette sits comfortably against natural stone, polished concrete, warm timber, and formal masonry alike.
We offer a full range of patina finishes beyond the standard dark brown, including verdigris, light golden brown, and blackened bronze. The sculpture can also be produced at a reduced scale to suit smaller sites. If you have a specific base requirement, plinth integration, or a commission inspired by a particular artistic tradition, contact us before ordering so we can discuss the scope and provide an accurate timeline.
