The Monumental Traditional Striding Stag Bronze Sculpture stands 260cm tall, capturing a red deer stag mid-stride with head raised and mouth open in a full rutting bugle. The pose is arrested at the precise moment of maximum energy: one foreleg lifted, antlers spanning wide overhead, the body coiled with forward momentum across a hand-sculpted stone plinth.
This piece is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which allows the foundry to preserve every strand of fur texture, every ridge of musculature, and the fine branching detail across the full antler rack. The surface carries a warm brown bronze patina, applied by hand and sealed to remain stable in outdoor conditions. Darker tones settle naturally into the recessed areas of the coat, reinforcing the anatomical depth of the form. The result is a large bronze stag sculpture that reads with equal conviction from fifty metres away and from arm's length.
At 260cm and 450kg, this is a statement commission suited to sweeping lawns, grand entrance drives, estate courtyards, and large formal interiors with sufficient ceiling height and floor load capacity. The warm brown patina sits comfortably against stone, brick, clipped yew, and open grass. The stone plinth provided as part of the composition grounds the figure with a sense of permanence appropriate to the scale.
Patina options include natural green verdigris, dark brown, black, and a range of antiqued finishes. Scale adjustments are available upward or downward, and bespoke plinth designs can be commissioned separately. For collectors interested in a version inspired by the work of a specific wildlife sculptor, or requiring a unique variation in pose or antler configuration, contact us before ordering so we can scope the commission accurately.
