The Monumental Traditional Samurai Warrior Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 350cm, presenting a life-size interpretation of a feudal Japanese warrior in full ceremonial dress. Arms folded across the chest, head raised with a resolute composure, and katana tucked at the left hip, the figure commands its environment with quiet, absolute authority.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax process, this sculpture achieves the precise textile detail that defines the work: the deep folds of the kimono and hakama robes, the wrapped obi belt, and the chonmage topknot are each rendered with the clarity that only skilled hand-finishing can deliver. The antique bronze finish carries a heavy green-blue verdigris patina across the entire surface, evoking centuries of weathering and lending the piece a sense of genuine historical weight. Every fold, cord, and blade detail emerges from the same hand-patinated cast bronze surface, unified in tone and texture.
At 350cm tall and weighing 1,800kg, this is a sculpture built for significant architectural settings. It suits grand entrance approaches, formal courtyards, Japanese-inspired garden schemes, corporate forecourts, and large interior atria with sufficient ceiling height. The antique verdigris colouring pairs naturally with stone, slate, gravel, timber decking, and mature planting. Equally at home indoors or outdoors, the bronze construction requires no seasonal protection and will deepen in character over time with natural exposure.
We offer alternative patina finishes including natural brown-bronze, polished warm gold, and flat matte black, as well as custom sizing for clients who require the figure at a specific height. Commissions inspired by the work of traditional Japanese sculptural traditions are welcome. Please contact us before ordering to discuss requirements, confirm site dimensions, and arrange delivery logistics for a piece of this scale and weight.
