The Monumental Traditional Robed Friar Bronze Statue stands at a commanding 300cm, depicting a robed friar in a composed, reverent stance: right hand raised in blessing, left hand cradling a rosary with a hanging cross pendant. Cast at life-exceeding scale, the figure conveys quiet authority and spiritual gravity.
This piece is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which preserves every nuance of the original sculpted surface. The hand-finished bronze patina ranges from warm golden-brown across the robes to deeper, cooler tones settling into the recesses of the fabric folds and the rope-style cincture belt. Lighter highlights on raised surfaces give the figure a luminous, three-dimensional presence. The result is a large bronze religious statue with the surface character of museum-grade foundry work. The integral octagonal stepped plinth, finished in matching bronze, provides a stable, architecturally considered base that requires no additional mounting hardware.
At 300cm tall and 600kg, this statue is suited to grand institutional and private settings alike: cathedral forecourts, monastery grounds, estate gardens, hospital chapels, memorial plazas, and significant interior spaces with adequate ceiling height and structural capacity. The warm bronze tones integrate naturally with stone, brick, render, and landscaped greenery. Its scale commands open space; a minimum surrounding clearance of three to four metres is recommended to allow the figure to read fully from ground level.
Patina options include classic warm brown, aged verdigris, dark espresso, and polished bronze. The figure can be scaled up or down for specific architectural contexts, or adapted as a bespoke commission inspired by the work of Padre Pio iconographic tradition. Custom inscriptions or dedication plaques can be integrated into the plinth base. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements and confirm site suitability for a piece of this weight and scale.
