Monumental Traditional Rearing Winged Dragon Bronze Sculpture - 350cm $138,33300
Description

The Monumental Rearing Winged Dragon Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 350cm, presenting a dragon locked mid-roar: hind legs braced against its stone plinth, bat-like wings fully spread, foreclaws gripping the edge, and jaws open wide with a visible tongue accent. At 1,200kg of cast bronze, this piece commands public plazas, estate entrances, and landmark architectural settings.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished with Aged Verdigris Patina

Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, every surface detail has been preserved in the bronze pour: the scaled texture across the neck and torso, the ribbed membrane of each wing, the articulated claws, and the deep crevices of the body that hold shadow and age beautifully. The aged verdigris bronze patina has been hand-applied and sealed, replicating centuries of natural oxidation. Darker tonal accents settle into the wing membranes and body recesses, while the overall surface carries the rich green-bronze character consistent with historic civic monuments. This is a monumental bronze dragon sculpture built for permanence.

The piece arrives paired with its large square stone plinth, moulded at the base and finished with a pale grey surface that weathers naturally over time. The combination suits grand outdoor installations: bridge approaches, estate gate piers, corporate headquarters courtyards, and public sculpture parks. The scale and patina equally support dramatic interior atria, hotel lobbies, and large-format gallery spaces where the piece can be viewed in full from a distance.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer alternative patina treatments including natural brown, dark black-bronze, and polished warm gold finishes. The dragon can be scaled for smaller residential or commercial applications, or commissioned at an equivalent or greater scale for landmark installations. If you are considering a bespoke placement solution, a modified pose, or a commission inspired by this sculptural tradition, contact us before ordering so we can scope the project accurately.
