Monumental Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures shown from the side with dark brown patina, mane flowing and front hooves raised on a plain background.
Monumental Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture - 300cm $146,53900
Description

The Monumental Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 300 centimetres, capturing a stallion mid-rear with front hooves raised and tucked, mane and tail caught in full motion, balanced with controlled power on two hind legs. The open mouth, the taut musculature across the neck and haunches, and the slight turn of the head give this piece an immediacy that photographs cannot fully prepare you for.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Produced using the lost-wax casting method, this sculpture begins as a detailed artist's model before being translated through a multi-stage ceramic shell process into solid bronze. Every surface is then worked by hand: chasing tools refine the fine detail of the mane, the tendons along the legs, the texture of the coat. The finish is a deep dark brown patina with warm bronze tones emerging on the raised surfaces of muscle and bone. This interplay of dark ground and highlighted relief is characteristic of traditional bronze horse sculpture at its finest, and it deepens naturally with exposure to light and air over time. The result is a piece that reads as both monumental bronze equestrian art and a study in anatomical precision.

At 300 centimetres, this sculpture is intended for large-scale settings: estate grounds, formal courtyards, paddock entrances, hotel approaches, or the atrium of a substantial private residence. The dark brown and warm bronze palette sits naturally against stone, gravel, clipped hedging, or pale rendered walls. It requires a firm, level base capable of supporting 1,900 kilograms; we recommend consulting a structural engineer or landscape contractor prior to installation. The sculpture is equally suited to covered indoor settings where ceiling height permits.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Patina can be adjusted on request: mid-brown, black, verde antique, or a lighter natural bronze are all achievable. Scale variations are also available; if you require a different height, whether a reduced estate version or a variant matched to a specific architectural elevation, contact us before ordering and we will prepare a tailored quotation. This sculpture can also be produced as part of a paired or grouped commission, inspired by the work of classical equestrian sculptors working in the European academic tradition.
