The Monumental Contemporary Seated Stag Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 250cm, presenting a stag in a wholly anthropomorphic posture: hind legs bent and dangling forward, forelegs resting outward at its sides, head held erect and alert, crowned with a sweeping multi-point rack of antlers that push skyward above the figure. The result is a work of arresting visual tension, poised between the wild and the familiar.
This sculpture is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, a process that preserves every surface nuance from the original model before the molten bronze is poured, cooled, and hand-worked by our finishing team. The piece carries a heavy all-over verdigris patina, layered across the full surface to produce a rich, oxidised green that reads as centuries old. The depth of colour shifts across the contours of the chest, the antler tines, and the folded joints of the legs, giving the piece an organic, weathered presence. This is a monumental bronze stag sculpture with a finished weight of 500kg: a work that announces itself without qualification.
At 250cm tall, this piece is suited to grand interior volumes and exterior environments alike. It holds its own in double-height entrance halls, hotel lobbies, and institutional atriums, and reads equally well set against landscaped terraces, formal garden axes, or contemporary architectural exteriors. The deep verdigris palette pairs naturally with dark stone, aged timber, and raw concrete, as well as traditional brick and dressed limestone settings.
We offer the full range of bronze patina finishes, from this aged verdigris to warm mid-brown, dark espresso, polished natural bronze, and blackened finishes. Scale can be modified to suit your specific site requirements, and fully bespoke commissions are welcomed. If you are considering a variation or have a specific installation brief, contact us before ordering and we will scope the project with you directly.
