Monumental Contemporary Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, angular cast bronze planes with golden patina, mounted on a circular disc plinth.
Monumental Contemporary Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture - 350cm $142,43600
Description

The Monumental Contemporary Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 350cm, its form constructed entirely from flat angular planes of cast bronze that slice open into sweeping negative space, conjuring the full kinetic energy of a horse mid-rear through pure geometric abstraction.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

This sculpture is cast using the lost-wax process, a method that preserves every precise edge and cutout void across the abstract bronze horse silhouette. Each flat plane is individually hand-finished after casting, then worked through a controlled patination process to achieve the warm golden-bronze surfaces and measured areas of darker copper-brown oxidation visible across the piece. The mane and tail resolve into radiating leaf-blade elements, each edge polished to a high reflectivity that catches and throws light differently at every angle. The result is a large-scale contemporary bronze horse sculpture that reads as both architectural form and living gesture simultaneously.

Mounted on a low circular disc plinth with a matching oxidised bronze finish, the piece suits both monumental outdoor installations and expansive interior settings. Its warm gold and bronze tones integrate naturally with stone, concrete, weathering steel, and dark timber; equally at home anchoring a corporate atrium, a grand entrance hall, a hotel lobby, or an open landscaped plaza. The open cutwork construction ensures the sculpture reads cleanly against sky or illuminated wall alike.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

The patina finish is fully adjustable: options include a darker antique brown, a cool grey-green verdigris, a high-polish mirror gold, or a blackened oxidised finish. Scale variations are also available for clients requiring a larger or smaller footprint. For site-specific commissions or custom plinth specifications inspired by the work of a particular artist or architectural brief, please contact us before ordering to discuss requirements in full.
