Giant Sculptures Monumental Classical Rearing Winged Horse Bronze Sculpture 260cm in deep black patina, Pegasus rearing with wings spread, on stone bases.
Monumental Classical Rearing Winged Horse Bronze Sculpture - 260cm $142,43600
Description

The Monumental Classical Rearing Winged Horse Bronze Sculpture stands 260 centimetres tall, a commanding representation of Pegasus frozen at the apex of its rearing posture, front hooves lifted clear, vast feathered wings spread to their full span. The composition carries an unmistakable authority, balancing raw equine power with the formal precision of classical sculptural tradition.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished in Deep Black Patina

This piece is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which allows the craftsmen to preserve every strand of the mane, every layered feather contour across the wings, and the full definition of the musculature along the neck, haunches, and forelegs. The smooth black patina bronze finish is applied by hand, building a consistent deep black surface with a restrained sheen that reads cleanly in both natural and artificial light. Fine surface work on the feathering and body detailing is achieved through hand-chasing after casting, ensuring no mechanical uniformity dulls the sculptural quality. The result is a large-scale bronze horse statue whose surface rewards close inspection as much as distant viewing.

At 260 centimetres, this sculpture is suited to formal entrance courts, estate grounds, civic plazas, and large-scale interior atria. The deep black finish sits well against pale stone architecture, clipped formal hedging, open lawn settings, and polished concrete or marble interiors. The circular stone base integrates cleanly into ground-level installation, whether set into turf or positioned on a prepared hard surface.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Patina options include the standard deep black as shown, traditional mid-tone bronze, aged verde patina, and custom colour treatments available on request. The scale can be adjusted for alternative installation contexts, and commissions inspired by the work of classical mythological sculptors within the equestrian tradition are welcome. Please contact us before placing an order to discuss scale, finish, and base configuration.
