The Monumental Bugling Bull Elk Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 250cm, capturing a mature bull elk mid-call, head thrown back, mouth open, antlers spreading wide in every direction. This is presence rendered in metal: the animal caught in a single, unrepeatable moment of raw declaration.
Produced via the traditional lost-wax casting method, this life-size elk bronze sculpture is finished by hand to develop a rich warm brown patina across the body, with deeper tones pooling in the recessed fur texture of the neck mane, the scored lines of the antler tines, and the undercuts of the musculature. The surface rewards close inspection: individual strands of mane, the swell of the ribcage, the tension in the raised jaw.
The naturalistic oval base is cast integrally with the figure, textured to suggest uneven rocky ground and finished with a fallen log detail at the front edge, grounding the piece convincingly whether placed on a stone terrace, a manicured lawn, a wide entrance hall, or a commercial atrium. At 400kg, the sculpture carries the physical authority its scale demands. Its traditional bronze elk statue character suits classical estate gardens, heritage hotel courtyards, and grand interior spaces where the ceiling height and floor plan can contain it.
We offer a range of patina finishes including classic warm brown, verdigris green, dark antiqued black, and polished natural bronze. Scale can be adjusted for commissions where a smaller or larger format is required, for example a reduced garden version or an even larger installation centrepiece. If you have a specific site in mind or are working to an architect or landscape designer's brief, contact us before ordering and we will advise on base preparation, anchoring, and finish selection. This piece can also be produced inspired by the work of other traditional wildlife sculptors should a particular stylistic reference be required for a commission.
