Description

A white marble angel sits at one end of a long polished black granite chest with a moulded cap, a bank of roses gathered at her waist and one hand resting on the stone beside her. A black granite urn stands at the far end, and the whole group shares one granite base slab.

White Marble Angel Beside a Granite Chest

Marble and granite in one memorial is two trades. The angel is worked matte in white marble so the drapery holds shadow, while the chest is taken to a mirror polish in black granite that will not accept the same fine undercut and is finished by grinding rather than by chisel. The two are bedded so their faces sit flush where the figure meets the stone, and that joint is the last thing adjusted.

A wide low chest wants a double plot or a family grave and reads along its length, so it suits a cemetery avenue or an established churchyard rather than a narrow single. Polished granite shows every water mark, so avoid a position under dripping trees. Confirm the burial authority limits on width, height and polished finishes before you order.

One Dedication Across a Wide Granite Face

Twelve weeks. The granite is sawn, faced and polished before the marble figure is carved, because polishing grit thrown off that face would dull finished marble if the order were reversed. The urn is turned to match the chest. The granite face reaches you entirely blank and is cut to a single dedication in the lettering you settle on, or left bare for a local mason. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops. Around 2,546kg across four pieces, craned into place on a poured concrete foundation.

Production Time

Every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of destination.

  • Sculptures under 50cm — shipped by air freight. Typical delivery 1–2 weeks after production is complete.
  • Sculptures 50cm and above — shipped by sea freight. Typical delivery 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

For larger sculptures where faster delivery is needed, air freight is available at additional cost — contact us before ordering for a quote.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

30-Day Returns

We accept 30-day returns on sculptures in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

To start a return, contact us within 30 days of receipt. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer's cost.

Bespoke and custom-commissioned pieces are non-refundable once production has started, as they are made specifically to your specification.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
