The Life-Size Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 270cm, capturing a stallion frozen at the peak of its power: hind hooves planted, forelegs raised and bent, head thrown back with mouth open in full expression of untamed energy.
This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which preserves every anatomical detail across the horse's musculature, from the tension in the haunches to the individual strands of the flowing mane and tail. The surface carries a warm reddish-brown patina with subtle tonal variation that deepens across the planes of the body, giving the piece a living, three-dimensional quality under both natural and artificial light. Key terms collectors search for include life-size bronze horse statue, rearing horse bronze sculpture, and large bronze equestrian sculpture.
At 270cm and 700kg, this piece commands significant space and rewards it. It suits the entrance hall of a country estate, the central axis of a formal garden, a corporate atrium, or an open civic forecourt. The warm bronze palette reads well against stone, gravel, clipped hedging, and dark timber; it holds its character equally in interior settings with high ceilings and neutral stone floors. The flat rectangular bronze base keeps the profile clean and grounded without interrupting the drama of the pose above.
Patina finish, scale, and base configuration are all open to customisation. We can adjust the patina from the classic warm reddish-brown through to dark espresso, verde antique, or a polished mid-tone finish. Alternative scales are available for clients who require a smaller study or a larger monumental installation. For clients inspired by the work of a particular equestrian sculptor, we welcome a conversation about bespoke interpretations. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
