Life-Size Racing Horses and Jockeys Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, two galloping thoroughbreds with crouched jockeys, one whip raised, dark patina.
Life-Size Racing Horses and Jockeys Bronze Sculpture - 260cm $135,94000
Description

The Life-Size Racing Horses and Jockeys Bronze Sculpture stands 260 centimetres tall and presents two thoroughbreds captured mid-gallop, each carrying a crouched jockey in full racing posture. The composition arrests a single explosive moment: hooves lifted clear of the ground, bodies angled forward, one rider with a whip raised high and the other low over the neck with reins extended taut.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished to a Deep Patina

Each figure is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, ensuring that every strand of rein, every fold of racing silks, and every contour of muscle is translated faithfully from model to metal. The dark brown patinated bronze is hand-finished across the entire surface, with lighter tonal highlights drawn out on raised planes such as the haunches, shoulders, and helmet crowns. The result reads differently in morning and afternoon light, shifting between near-black shadow and warm amber where the sun catches a ridge. The full racing tack, including saddles, bridles, and helmets, is rendered with the precision expected of monumental figurative bronze casting at this scale.

At 260 centimetres in height and 850 kilograms, this sculpture commands serious architectural space. It suits the entrance forecourt of a racecourse, a corporate headquarters, a sporting estate, or a large civic plaza. The deep neutral patina sits naturally against stone paving, brick, polished concrete, and landscaped granite settings. Rated for permanent outdoor installation, it is equally striking positioned within a tall-ceilinged atrium or grand interior hall.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the classic dark brown, including verde green, mid-brown, and polished golden bronze. The composition can be scaled up for monumental civic installation or adapted to a single horse-and-jockey pairing. Commissioned versions inspired by the work of specific artists or referencing particular racehorse breeds can be discussed with our studio team. Contact us before ordering to confirm dimensions, finish, and site requirements.
