The Life-Size Classical Virgin Mary Bronze Statue stands at an imposing 300cm, presenting a frontal standing figure in flowing robes and veil, arms lowered and extended outward with open palms in a timeless gesture of grace and welcome. A serpent is depicted crushed beneath her feet at the base, rendered with the same careful hand-finishing that defines every surface of this substantial commission piece.
Cast using the lost-wax method, this life-size bronze statue carries a smooth, warm golden-bronze patina across its entire surface. The drapery folds of the robes and veil are resolved with fine detail, the fabric appearing weighted and directional rather than decorative. At this scale, 300cm tall and 520kg, the casting process demands considerable precision: each section is poured, chased, and assembled before the patina is applied by hand to achieve the even warm tone visible across the finished piece. This is monumental bronze casting at a level suited to institutional, ecclesiastical, and significant private commissions.
The sculpture suits both interior and exterior placement. Inside, it commands a double-height hall, chapel, atrium, or formal reception space. Outdoors, the dense cast bronze requires no protective coating and will weather gracefully in temperate and warmer climates alike. The warm golden-bronze patina pairs naturally with pale stone, limestone render, travertine, and dark polished granite, as well as against landscaped settings of clipped hedging or open lawn.
Alternative patina finishes are available, including aged verdigris, dark brown antiqued, and natural weathered green. The figure can be produced at scales both smaller and larger than the 300cm standard offering. If you are considering a commission inspired by the work of Laszlo Marton or other classical figurative traditions, or require a bespoke base inscription or plinth adaptation, contact us before ordering so we can scope the project properly.
