Large Traditional Robed Saint Bronze Statue by Giant Sculptures, 210cm bearded monk holding a cross staff and book with a reddish-brown pig at his feet.
Large Traditional Robed Saint Bronze Statue - 210cm $35,89900
Description

The Large Traditional Robed Saint Bronze Statue stands at an imposing 210cm, presenting a monastic figure in full habit, his raised hand gripping a tall cross-topped staff hung with a small bell, while his opposite arm cradles an open book close to his chest. At his feet, a small companion pig rendered in a contrasting warm reddish-brown patina anchors the composition with quiet detail and iconographic precision.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Cast using the lost-wax method, this sculpture achieves the kind of surface depth that only handcast bronze can deliver. The figure carries a rich dark brown-black patina across the robes and cloak, with smoother bronze highlights drawn out on the face and hands to convey life and presence. The knotted rope cord belt, rosary beads, and the deep-folding fabric of the wide cape have all been rendered with the care of hand-finished bronze statuary. The octagonal low-profile base is integral to the cast, finished in the same dark bronze tone for a cohesive, gallery-ready silhouette. At 220kg, this is a piece that commands space with genuine physical authority.

This large religious bronze statue suits stone-floored cathedral antechambers, private chapels, formal entrance halls, and sheltered courtyard settings equally well. Its dark patina works against pale limestone, aged brick, and timber interiors; outdoors, it weathers with dignity in temperate and warm climates, developing further tonal depth over time.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer the full range of bronze patinas including verde antique, golden brown, and light natural bronze, as well as custom scale commissions for institutional and architectural installations. The pig companion figure can be specified in a unified patina or retained in its contrasting warm reddish-brown finish. This figure has also been produced in larger monumental scales and as part of site-specific religious programmes inspired by the work of classical ecclesiastical bronze sculptors. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
