The Large Traditional Robed Figure Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 210cm, depicting a full-length figure in a monastic habit, right arm raised with index finger pointing skyward and left hand holding a cross forward. The pose carries a sense of quiet authority and exhortation, the slight forward lean giving the piece genuine presence without theatrical excess.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this large bronze figure sculpture achieves the fine surface resolution that only handworking can deliver. The robe folds, rope belt, and the detailed cross are each refined by skilled artisans after casting, producing crisp transitions between fabric planes and smooth flesh surfaces. The warm reddish-brown patina carries subtle weathering tones that deepen across the creases of the habit, giving the piece the visual weight of a long-standing commission rather than a fresh casting. This is hand-finished bronze at monumental scale.
At 210cm and 200kg, this sculpture commands a formal setting. It suits cathedral forecourts, memorial gardens, institutional grounds, convent or monastery gardens, and large private estates with stone or brick architectural backdrops. Indoors, a double-height entrance hall, a stone-flagged gallery, or a grand reception space will absorb its scale naturally. The bronze and stone palette reads well against pale limestone, weathered brick, and dark granite surfaces.
We offer a full range of patina finishes including dark antique brown, verdigris, and statuary black. The scale can be adjusted to suit your specific site, and the plinth design can be respecified to your requirements. For commissions inspired by the work of a particular devotional tradition, contact us before ordering to discuss the brief in detail.
