Giant Sculptures Large Traditional Green Tara Goddess Bronze Sculpture 180cm, seated in padmasana on a lotus throne with jeweled crown and twin lotus stems.
Large Traditional Green Tara Goddess Bronze Sculpture - 180cm $28,37700
Description

The Large Traditional Green Tara Goddess Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 180cm and presents one of the most revered figures in Tibetan Buddhist iconography with exceptional sculptural authority. Seated in full padmasana on a double-tiered lotus throne, the deity is rendered with a serenity and technical precision that rewards prolonged contemplation.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

This large bronze religious sculpture is cast using the traditional lost-wax process, which allows every nuance of the composition to translate faithfully from model to metal. The warm reddish-brown patina is applied by hand, darkened selectively in the recessed folds and relief passages so that the layered petal decoration of the lotus pedestal, the intricate drapery of the lower robes, and the scrollwork along the base edges all read with crisp, three-dimensional clarity. Inlaid stones in turquoise, coral, and amber tones punctuate the five-point crown and the multi-strand body jewellery, providing colour contrast against the bronze ground. Twin lotus stems rise to shoulder height on either side of the figure, each bearing a large sunflower bloom that frames the composition without interrupting the figure's forward, open gaze. At 120kg, the casting carries genuine material weight, a quality immediately perceptible in the presence of the piece.

At this scale, the sculpture commands a focal position: a double-height entrance hall, a meditation or wellness space, a temple anteroom, or a substantial landscaped garden courtyard. The warm bronze tones integrate naturally with stone flooring, pale render, natural timber, and deep green planting. The piece is equally suited to interior and exterior placement; the bronze alloy and patina are durable in open-air conditions, and the ornate lotus throne reads as confidently in daylight as under directional interior lighting.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the warm reddish-brown shown, including aged verdigris, dark umber, and polished bright bronze. The composition can also be produced at alternative heights to suit a specific architectural context. For collectors seeking a fully bespoke commission, the figure can be adapted in pose or iconographic detail; this service is particularly suited to those inspired by the work of master Tibetan bronze craftspeople whose tradition this sculpture belongs to. Please contact us before ordering to discuss any custom requirements, confirm site dimensions, or request a finish sample.
