The Large Traditional Bear Family Bronze Sculpture stands 150cm tall and presents a commanding group of four bears: one adult in a full alert pose with open mouth, flanked by three cubs arranged naturally at ground level. The composition carries real weight, both physically and visually, with the scale contrast between adult and cubs giving the piece an immediate, narrative presence.
Every figure in this grouping is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which allows the exceptional surface detail to transfer faithfully from model to metal. The hand-finished bronze patina runs from a warm dark brown across the body mass to lighter, burnished highlights on the muzzle, brow and raised fur ridges. The fur texture is worked across all four figures with fine, individual strand definition; the adult's open jaw reveals teeth and tongue detail, while each paw carries precisely rendered claws. This is cast bronze sculpture at a level of craft resolution that suits serious collectors and landmark installations equally.
At 150cm and 220kg, the grouping commands significant space. It suits a formal garden lawn, a stone-paved courtyard, a large reception hall, or a private estate entrance. The warm brown patina reads well against natural stone, aged brick, dark timber, and mature planting. The piece is equally at home indoors under controlled lighting, where the surface highlights respond with particular depth.
We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the warm brown shown, including verde green, aged black, and cold-cast natural bronze. The grouping can also be produced at a different scale, or individual elements from the family can be commissioned as standalone pieces. If you are interested in a bespoke version, contact us before ordering so we can confirm specifications and timeline.
