The Large Contemporary Leaping Dolphins Bronze Sculpture stands at an commanding 230cm, presenting three dolphins in a cascading upward composition that rises from an integrated sculpted wave base. The piece radiates kinetic energy; the largest dolphin crests at the apex, a mid-size form follows beneath, and a third smaller figure anchors the base, all emerging from the organic wave form as though caught mid-surge.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this sculpture is realised in solid cast bronze with meticulous hand-finishing at every stage. The surface carries a mixed natural patina ranging from deep brown to grey-green verdigris across the body and wave base, with polished warm bronze highlights brought through on the dorsal fins and rostrum areas. Naturalistic detailing on the eyes and facial features adds an immediacy that photographic prints cannot replicate. The wave base is integral to the casting, not a separate component, giving the entire piece a unified sculptural coherence.
At 230cm tall and 2,800kg, this is a statement work suited to grand architectural contexts. It performs equally well as a coastal exterior centrepiece, positioned against sea-facing walls, terrace balustrades, or open plaza settings, and indoors within double-height atria, hotel lobbies, or large private halls. The verdigris patina reads beautifully against pale stone, raw concrete, or deep blue-painted backdrops. Its scale and subject matter make it a natural anchor for marine-themed environments, resort developments, and luxury coastal residences.
We offer a full range of patina options including natural verdigris, polished warm brown, statuary dark, and custom coloured finishes. Scale can be adjusted to suit your specific site requirements, from statement interior pieces through to monumental public installations. If you would like a bespoke commission inspired by this composition, contact us before ordering so we can discuss your requirements in detail.
