Giant Sculptures Large Classical Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture 180cm in warm golden-amber patina with darker mane, tail, and rocky base, on a plain background.
Large Classical Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture - 180cm $103,80100
Description

The Large Classical Rearing Horse Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 180cm, capturing a stallion at full rear: front legs tucked, hind hooves planted on a craggy naturalistic outcrop, mane and tail caught mid-surge in a single frozen moment of raw energy.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this large bronze horse sculpture is finished entirely by hand, allowing our craftspeople to articulate every cord of muscle along the neck, every ripple across the haunches, and the fine individual strands of the flowing mane and tail. The surface carries a warm golden-amber patina across the body, deepening to rich brown-black in the mane, tail, and the recesses of the rocky base. That tonal contrast is not applied cosmetically; it is achieved through controlled chemical patination, building depth and warmth that ages gracefully over time. At 150kg, the sculpture has the physical authority its scale demands.

At 180cm this piece commands attention in entrance halls, double-height lobbies, covered courtyards, and large garden terraces. The warm gold-bronze palette reads well against pale stone, dark timber, and brushed metal interiors alike. Its classical treatment suits heritage architecture, contemporary gallery spaces, and formal garden settings equally. Rated for both indoor and outdoor installation, the dense cast bronze resists weathering without losing its surface character.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a full range of patina finishes beyond the standard warm amber, including verdigris, dark museum brown, and polished bright bronze. Scale can be adjusted up or down for commissions, and the piece can be produced on alternative plinth configurations for specific architectural settings. If you are interested in a version inspired by the work of a particular equestrian sculptor, or wish to discuss a fully bespoke commission, contact us before ordering so we can outline options and lead times.
