Green Undulating Column Resin Sculpture - 60/140/185cm
Green Undulating Column Resin Sculpture - 60/140/185cm $2,42900
Description

A square column in green cast resin, made in three heights. All four faces undulate from foot to crown while the section stays square, and a shallow trumpet opens at the top. The green deepens steadily from the trumpet down to the foot, so each column reads darkest nearest the floor. The price is per column.

A Square Section That Never Sits Still

Keeping the section square while the faces wave is what makes the column look as though it is turning when it is not: each face swells where its neighbour draws in, so the eye reads a twist that the plan does not contain. Every face waves, so the depth of green the eye looks through changes at every height, and one colour reads as many. The waves are drawn to each column rather than stretched from one to the next, so the three heights carry different numbers of them. All four faces carry the same polish, and the waves are left as cast rather than trued.

Stood on a sideboard or a deep sill, the first of the three shows its whole shaft at once; the other two stand on the floor, alone in a hall or grouped as a set of three, which is how the family reads best. A pale wall behind suits the green, which deepens toward the foot and needs something to darken against. Side light brings the waves forward, while light square onto a column flattens them into stripes.

Three Heights, the Green, and Three Crates

Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. Each height is priced and sold on its own, so a group is ordered column by column. We will change the green, carry it further up the shaft, or take the wave out of the faces altogether, which leaves a plain square shaft doing none of the same work. Each column travels in its own crate, packed standing. The first can be carried by one person with both hands on the shaft; the other two need two people. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Columns and upright forms for a hall or a living room continue in our indoor sculptures, and more cast shafts in colour sit among our contemporary and modern sculptures and our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
