A cast resin sculpture of a range formed in stepped horizontal layers on a pale block, with the higher summit on the left, a second beside it and a long low shelf running out to the right. Below the horizon the layers carry on into two inverted points, a broad one and a narrow one, that rest on the block, so the range sits over its own reflection. The colour rises from a deep green at those points through aqua to the horizon and stops there in a level line, and above it the material is clear.
Where the colour stops is the decision that makes this piece: the green pales to aqua as it climbs, but its top edge is a level line drawn across a set of stepped layers rather than a fade. A level edge across a stepped profile reads instantly as water: the eye has no other explanation for a colour that ignores the shape of the object and obeys gravity instead. That puts the level in a narrow band. Set it too low and the green is a base rather than a sea; too high and the peaks become islands with nothing above them, and the range stops being a range. Here it sits just under the saddle between the two summits, which floods the middle of the piece and leaves both peaks standing clear, and it lets the low shelf on the right read as shallows rather than as a mistake. The tint is in the material, so the line lands at the same level through the whole depth.
Long and shallow, it suits a writing desk or a cabinet top, and it is best met at eye level or just below, which is where the waterline reads as a level line rather than as a curve. A study desk, a wide shelf, a credenza or a low cabinet all work. It wants light from behind or from one side, which lights the clear layers above the line and leaves the green mass reading as depth beneath them. Overhead light does the opposite: it fills the clear half and the waterline disappears into a general pale glow.
Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. The level of the tint, the span and the summits are all drawn per piece, so a version with the line set at the summits, one with a single peak, or a range reaching much further along a console are all available. The colour is decided with the order: this green, a blue that reads colder, an amber for a dark room, or the whole stack left clear so the piece is only steps. It is carried at the sides of its layers rather than at a peak, and set down with both of its points square on the block. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A green horizon stepped out of flat layers is abstract sculpture; the layers themselves are resin sculpture; and the clear upper half wants the steady light of indoor sculpture.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
