Green Seat Frosted Cast Resin Chair - 58cm
Green Seat Frosted Cast Resin Chair - 58cm $2,76500
Description

A small chair in white frosted resin with a seat of solid grass green, shaped as a thick rounded cushion that runs the full width. The green does not stop at the seat: it carries on into the top of each front leg and fades to pale frost well before the foot, and a fainter green haze rises a short way into the base of the back. Above that haze the back is an even white frost.

One Green Element in a White Frame

The chair gathers its colour into one element and lets it spread from there. The seat is the green: saturated, opaque at the centre, and shaped as a rolled cushion that overhangs the frame slightly at the front and sides. From the cushion the green runs on down each front leg as a soft wash, strongest where the leg leaves the seat and thinning towards the floor, so the feet stand in plain white frost. Upward it barely travels, tinting only the foot of the back before the frost clears. The green and the white meet without a seam at every junction, and nowhere is there a line where one colour stops. Seen from the front the chair reads as a green bar set into a frame of white frost; from the side the seat's overhang is the strongest line on the object.

At 58cm overall, it is scaled to fit a child, or to give an adult a seat close to the floor. It suits a child's room, a playroom corner, or a low table in a living room where an adult would perch rather than settle. A pair either side of a small table reads well. The green is strong enough to set the palette of a small room, so it is worth choosing the surroundings around it rather than the other way about. Hard floors suit the flat feet. Indoors only.

Where the Colour Goes, and What Height the Seat Is Set At

Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The colour placement is the first question. Which elements carry it: the seat alone, the seat and the leg wash as here, the whole frame with a white seat, or the back instead of the seat. The colour itself, which can be this grass green, a cobalt, a coral or a soft yellow. And the seat height, which matters more on a chair this size than on a full one, since the difference between a child's chair and an adult's perch is a few centimetres. Any overall height can be quoted, and the seat can be set for a child or for an adult. A crate to itself, nothing to assemble, and light enough for one person. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Scaled for a child and finished as sculpture, the green-seated chair belongs to our art furniture; its tinted pour sits with our resin sculptures, and the small chair itself among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
