Green Ribbed Leg Resin Dining Chair, 72cm, with translucent green arched back and ribbed, splayed legs, shown on a plain white background.
Green Ribbed Leg Resin Dining Chair - 72cm $3,24000
Description

A cast dining chair in translucent green, mint in the back and deepest along the edge of the seat, its legs clearing almost to glass. The back is a single arched panel rising from the seat with no rail and no gap. Below the seat four legs stand slightly splayed, smooth from the seat down and turned in close horizontal rings towards the foot, like a short run of stacked beads.

Turned Legs Under a Single Arched Back

The chair sets two quite different kinds of surface against each other and gets its character from the contrast. The back and seat are smooth, unbroken and slightly domed, so the light runs across them in one sweep and the green shows as a flat wash of colour. The legs are smooth where they leave the seat and ringed in tight bands as they near the floor, each ring catching a separate highlight, so the chair gathers its sparkle at its feet under a quiet body. Each rear leg stands almost directly behind a front one, so from the front the legs read as doubled columns of pale green. The seat and back meet in one continuous curve with no visible joint.

At 72cm to the top of the back and a seat at standard dining height this is a working chair, not an occasional one. It pulls up to a dining or console table, sits at a dressing table, or stands alone against a wall in a hall. The translucency is worth using: put it where light comes past it rather than straight at it and the green pools in the thick parts of the casting and lifts the whole chair off the floor. A set of four around a pale table reads as a row of green lanterns. Indoors only.

Colour Through the Casting, and the Turning on the Legs

The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. Two things are chosen at order. The colour, which can stay this green or move to amber, smoke grey or rose, mixed paler or deeper to suit the room. And the turning, which can stay near the foot as here, climb the full length of the leg, or be left off for a plain tapered leg. The seat height and the overall height are yours to set, and a set is made together so the green matches across it. Every chair travels in a crate of its own and arrives finished, and one person can carry it in. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Pull it up to a table and it earns a place in our art furniture; the green casting with its ring-turned feet belongs with our resin sculptures, and the chair itself with our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
