Green Edged Clear Acrylic C-Form Side Table - 42cm
Green Edged Clear Acrylic C-Form Side Table - 42cm $1,88800
Description

This side table is a C-form: a top plate, one vertical side and a base plate, all continuous, so it can be slid in over a sofa cushion or a bed with the base plate underneath and the top plate above. Looked at through the face the sheet is colourless; looked at along any cut edge it is a strong green. It is priced as a single table.

Colour That Lives Only on the Cut Edges

The green is in the material and shows only where the material has been cut, so every edge on the piece is a colour decision as well as a finishing one. A flame-polished edge reads as a bright continuous line of green; a matt one reads as a dull band. Here they are polished, which means each of the twelve edges has to be worked to the same clarity or the outline breaks. The two returns are formed rather than joined, so the colour runs round the corners without interruption, and the inside of each bend is polished as carefully as the outside because on a C-form you see both. Every sheet edges slightly differently.

A C-form goes where a four-legged table cannot: over the arm of a sofa, beside a bed with the base plate under it, tight against an armchair. At 42cm the top sits at seat height, so it works as a drinks table more than a lamp table. The green outline is what you see from across a room, so set it against a plain wall or a pale floor where the line reads. Several together stack and interlock, which is worth knowing if you want a group rather than one.

Reach, Sheet Gauge and Buying Them in Numbers

From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. Reach is set at order: the top plate can be run further out over the base or brought back for a tighter footprint. Sheet gauge can be increased where the table will carry more than a glass. Other edge colours are drawn from the same stock, and a colourless sheet is available. Height is cut to order. Each table is formed from one sheet and arrives complete, so there is nothing to assemble, and it is an easy one-person carry. Where several are ordered they travel nested, each sleeved, since a polished edge is the part that marks and the whole effect depends on it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Colour that lives only on the cut edges belongs with our acrylic sculptures; one sheet folded into a C leads to our geometric sculptures, and a drinks table slid over a sofa arm joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
