Green & White Twisting Drapery Resin Sculpture - 105cm
Green & White Twisting Drapery Resin Sculpture - 105cm $2,49700
Description

The drapery twists through its whole height, the folds running diagonally across the body from foot to crown. Green drawn through the folds and clearing to white along every edge, so the turns read pale against the body. The crown opens into a spray of folds that lean out to one side. A black block is included beneath it.

Colour Collecting in the Fold and Leaving the Edge

The twist is what puts every fold at an angle to every other, and that is the point of drawing it this way: folds running parallel would read as a pleat and these read as cloth, because no two of them catch the light at the same moment. A tinted body collects its colour in the fold and gives it up at the edge, which is what makes drapery read as fabric rather than as a solid: the thin parts let go and the deep parts keep it. Frosted to a satin over the whole of it, with the edges taken thin, so it holds a soft glow and never a highlight.

It suits a console or a sideboard, set square to the room. It wants a dark wall, or the white edges have nothing to read against. One source from above runs down every fold; light from the front flattens the green into one tone. The twist carries; the change from green to white is a near fact.

Deepening the Green, and One Tall Crate

Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. On request the green is deepened, the edges are drawn finer, or another stone goes under it. Deepen the green and the edges are drawn finer to answer it, because the contrast is what the piece is arranged around. Crated on end, and the block travels under the drapery. Two people, hands at the stone, and the crown untouched. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A green and white drapery turning on itself as it climbs stands in our indoor sculptures; cloth drawn in diagonal folds belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and green collecting deep in every fold joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
