The Giant Contemporary Seated Polar Bear Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 240cm, presenting a polar bear in a rare, meditative pose: hind legs crossed, forelegs resting easy on its knees, head tilted gently upward. The form is bold and quietly contemplative, with stylised rounded volumes that simplify the anatomy into something sculptural and assured.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this sculpture is finished in a high-gloss white painted surface that entirely transforms the material beneath. Where most bronze works reveal their metal character through patina and texture, this piece takes the opposite direction: a smooth, reflective white coat gives the bear an almost porcelain quality, catching light across its rounded silhouette. The effect is graphic and gallery-ready, pairing the weight and permanence of cast bronze construction with a finish that reads as clean, contemporary, and sculptural rather than naturalistic.
At 240cm tall and 120kg, this is a piece that anchors a space entirely. It suits wide-open interiors with strong architectural lines: entrance halls, double-height lobbies, commercial atriums, or contemporary residential spaces with pale stone floors and neutral palettes. The white finish sits cleanly against concrete, marble, and raw plaster. Equally, the piece performs outdoors in paved courtyards, roof terraces, or formal garden settings where the scale and finish can be appreciated without competing foliage. Bronze is inherently durable and weather-resistant, making this sculpture equally at home inside or out.
The white gloss finish shown here is one option among many. We can produce this bear in a traditional dark patina, aged verde, polished raw bronze, or any custom colour finish you require. Scale adjustments are available for both residential and commercial briefs. If you have a specific height, finish, or plinth specification in mind, contact us before ordering and we will confirm feasibility and lead time.
