This frosted cast resin stool is a rounded, squarish mass of frosted white resin with a large soft-cornered opening cut right through it from one side to the other, so what is left is a closed loop of material with a void at its middle. The surface is satin the whole way round, with no polished face anywhere on it, and the corners are drawn so soft that the outline reads as a single continuous curve from any angle.
The inside of the void is finished to the same standard as the outside and there is no arris anywhere on it, so the eye runs round the opening without catching. The satin face is worked over the whole piece by hand after the casting is released, and it is taken to an even sheen rather than a polish, which is what keeps the white reading as a body colour rather than as a reflection. Frosted material shows a fingerprint more readily than a clear one, so the last stage is a wipe-down and a final check under a raking light.
At 50cm this is a stool at seat height and takes an adult, and it works equally as a low table beside a chair. The void is the whole point of it, so give it somewhere with something behind it worth seeing through the opening: a window, a planted corner or a coloured wall rather than a plain white one.
Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. Three things about it are not fixed. The opening can be drawn to another outline or made square, the resin is offered clear as well as frosted, and it can be tinted to a colour you name. The top span and the overall height are open figures. Order more than one together and the shape of the opening through the mass is matched across them. Crated with the four soft corners of the loop protected, it is a two-person lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A frosted loop with its middle taken out gives our art furniture a stool that doubles as a table; the void suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a window corner among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
