Frosted white one-piece cast resin Settle, 110cm, with curved arm-height back, deep tub seat, and waisted end panels on a plain light background.
Frosted White One Piece Cast Resin Settle - 110cm $8,43800
Description

This settle is one frosted mass. Its back runs level along the top and curves round at each end into an arm of the same height, so the seat sits in a deep, open-fronted tub, dished gently across its width. Each end wall carries on below the seat to the floor as a broad panel, pinched in at a waist and then swinging out again to stand square. The resin is frosted rather than clear, an even milky white that shades to grey where a surface turns away.

A Settle Cut From One Frosted Mass

A settle cut from one mass is a harder proposition than a chair, because the back has to turn through a tight curve at each end and run on as an arm at its full height. There is no join anywhere on the outer face. Below the seat the end panels draw in to a waist and flare out again to the floor, and that pinch is what stops so much frosted resin reading as a solid block. The frosting is even across every surface, and on a doubly curved form an even frost is what makes the shape readable: milky white where a face turns towards you, grey where it turns away, and that gradient is the only shading on the piece.

Two people sit on it side by side, and it is at home in a hallway, across the foot of a bed or beneath a window. Being frosted it does not show what is behind it, so unlike a clear piece it holds its place as a pale solid mass and suits a room with dark furniture. Stand it on boards, stone or a flat-woven rug, since a deep pile would swallow the flared edges of its end panels. Four people are wanted to carry it in. Keep it indoors.

The Mass, the Frost, and Getting It In

Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The frosted mass sets the pace here. Three of its features are open. It is offered clear as well as frosted and can be tinted to a colour you name. The length is quoted to your figure, and the end panels can be drawn straight instead of waisted. Overall length and seat height are settled at order. Pieces from one order share the evenness of the frost. Pieces from two orders do not. The packing is designed round the arms and the flared end panels; allow four people on arrival. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Frosted white and seamless from its back to the floor, this settle sits with our art furniture, its quiet modern line with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a piece that must stay under a roof with our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
